Professor Huang received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan University; he received his M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of California, Los Angeles; he received his Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering, University of Minnesota. Professor Huang joined the research team in the IInstitute of Industrial Engineering of NTU after his Ph.D.

Professor Huang took part in the research on modeling competitive internet resources with Game theory in his undergraduate. During his Master's degree, Professor Hunag focused on studying in the fields of signal processing, communications, and machine learning, and began to grow interests in the underlying fundamental theories in continuous optimization. During his Ph.D., Professor Huang devoted his research to  analysis and design of algorithms for continuous optimization problems, with specialties in the research on variational inequalities. Professor Huang’s main research focus is analyzing iteration complexities and designing optimal algorithms, and he is interested in applications in equilibrium solving, game theory, machine learning, and reinforcement learning.
