Admissions 
International students seeking admission to a Master’s degree program must complete an application using NTU’s online application system, accessible via the Office of International Affairs website.

Regulations for the Master’s Degree Program (cut)

Article 3 Students shall take at least 15 credits in their specialization at NTUIE, and must complete the following courses:

  1. Special Topics (M0070): One credit, a repeated course, to be taken each semester until graduation. Two credits must be completed; however, this requirement may be waived with the approval of the Academic Committee of the Institute.
  2. Graduate Seminar (M0080): One credit, a repeated course. Two credits must be completed before graduation.
  3. Master’s thesis: Zero credits.

Article 4 Graduation Credit Calculation and Other Regulations

  1. Special Topics (M0070): Credits for this course are capped at three credits.
  2. Graduate Seminar (M0080): Credits for this course are capped at two credits.
  3. Language Courses: Language course credits are capped at one credit.
  4. English Proficiency Requirements:
    1. Students whose English proficiency is not at Level 3 or equivalent of the University’s Online English for Postgraduates program shall pass at least one level of the University’s Online English for Postgraduates program.
    2. Students who meet the requirements for exemption from the online English program may be exempted from the University’s Online English for Postgraduates program.
  5. During the semester, master’s degree students shall present at least one paper at a seminar or academic conference, or participate in a national academic paper competition or innovation and entrepreneurship competition, or submit an article to an academic journal approved by the Director of the NTUIE.
  6. Students are expected to complete the Academic Ethics course in accordance with the University’s Academic Ethics Curriculum Implementation Guidelines.

Article 5 Students may be exempted from taking the Special Topics course when studying abroad or on an exchange program.
Article 6 Starting from the second semester of enrollment, the Institute will calculate the number of credits completed by each student every semester. If a student’s cumulative number of credits from failed courses exceeds half of the total completed credits, the department shall notify the University and expel the student.
